A BLOW FOR WHEELABRATOR – PLANNERS SAY THEIR CONSULTATION DOCUMENTS JUST AREN’T UP TO IT
Test Valley planning councillors have decided unanimously that Wheelabrator have not provided enough information to allow people to make up their minds about the scheme.
The Councils Northern Planning committee have voted t to object to the validity of the six-week statutory consultation period which ends on election day.
It’s the stage in the planning process when Wheelabrator are obliged to canvas local opinion.
Test Valley is one of the so-called Statutory Consultees, so their decision is a blow to the American firm.
Keep Test Valley Beautiful say we believe Wheelabrator will have to go back to the drawing board and start the whole consultation process again – or abandon the scheme altogether.
We are describing consultation documents published by the firms far as inadequate, confusing and often inaccurate.
The Planning Committee agree.
So far at least 2300 objections have been submitted to Wheelabrator and we are urging people to add many more before the closing date on election day.
