Responses to Wheelabrator
Adams Hendry Consulting, an award winning chartered town planning consultancy based in Winchester, were appointed by Keep Test Valley Beautiful (KTVB) as our professional advisors and they have submitted a response on our behalf.
In summary, KTVB consider that the PEIR is inadequate in that it does not provide
sufficient information to enable consultees to understand the likely environmental effects of the proposed development to inform their consultation response during the pre-application state.
Main areas of concern were commented on under the following headings (please click to read that section of the report)
The Keep Test Valley Beautiful team is aware of the widespread anxiety about the proposed Incinerator between the villages of Barton Stacey and Longparish in the heart of beautiful Hampshire countryside.
Concern has also been expressed by people living in Whitchurch, Andover, Winchester, Overton, Wherwell Sutton Scotney and many other communities.
The future of burning waste is currently under question in the UK and other countries, as it pollutes the atmosphere and contributes to global warming.
